YEIDA Greenlights 4,000 Cr Link Between Ganga & Yamuna Expressways

YEIDA begins acquiring 740 acres across 16 villages in January 2026 for a 74.3 km link road connecting the Ganga and Yamuna Expressways.

The landscape of Western Uttar Pradesh is set for a massive transformation as the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) initiates the land acquisition for the much-anticipated link road between the Ganga Expressway and Yamuna Expressway.

Bridging the GapCurrently, there is no high-speed direct connection between these two arterial highways. The new 74.3 km corridor solves this, starting at Siyana (Bulandshahr) and merging with the Yamuna Expressway at Sector 21 (Film City). This creates a "clutch" for the Noida International Airport, allowing freight and passengers from Eastern and Central UP to reach the airport without navigating congested local routes.

Project Highlights:

Farmer-First CompensationTo ensure a smooth transition, YEIDA CEO R.K. Singh has announced standardized compensation rates of 4,300 per sqm for farmers. This move aims to prevent the litigation delays seen in previous projects and ensure that the land is handed over to UPEIDA for construction by mid-2026.

Why It MattersBeyond just travel time, this road is the backbone for 13 new industrial zones. It connects the industrial clusters of Noida and Greater Noida directly to the heart of Uttar Pradesh, cementing the region as a premier logistics and manufacturing hub in India.
